#10 You know in America, you don't pay your property taxes for a couple of years and you too can come home some day and find new locks on the place. Usually installed by a new owner who paid the multiple years past due taxes through a sheriff's sale or court proceedings (multiple years is taken as a abandonment of the property by the courts).
