Only the Ahmadi and Sufi, apart from some Nizari Shiites deserved to live anyway. And the Sunnis started with them. Not many real human beings left there. Not worth even strategic sympathy, unless we were trying to install a Shia regime. Which would also be useless.

The Shias, although regarded as moderate and reasonable people in this part of the world, are only afforded this stature because they did not do away with art and culture like the mad wahabi mullahs The goat beards and itchy pubes variety , but merged certain parts of their art, literature and music with the Indian contemporary forms. Now they present a relatively moderate visage to communities.

However, the Dawoodi and other Bohra sects of Shia islam also harbor some of the most despicable practices in the world, like FGM, stoning for the minutest 'infraction', group rape as punishment, marriage of minors to older men. Not to mention the allowance of certain superstitions in the Shia creeds; which leads to barbarous 'exorcisms', quackery and malpractice even among trained, educated Shia doctors who hide their cultural baggage from colleagues but practice unethical doctrines as part of medicine.

This practice of self-flagellation is a Shia thing.

The scalp is to be cut into as initiation.

If moslems are killing each other, we must help them along. There's no better way to save the planet. I would rather that we could save the women and children, but there's a reason for why God used to command things like "Slay young and old...man and woman..."

Dawoodi and other Bohra sects? One needs to remember Moohamhead (54, 56?) himself was a notorious pedphile-child rapist. (6 year old in the Hadiths). Citing the Pig Profit as the "perfect example", all islamic fundamentalist sects practice child rape.

As to Shiites going missing. I'm still waiting for Synchronized chain flogging to become the first islamic Olympic sport.

The Floggings could be judged in several categories:
-Depth of wounds on their backs and on the backs of their beaten wives, as called for in the Koran.
-Volume of the self beaters hateful rants and threats about all Democratic countries.
-Bonus points are given ahead of time for the number of the contestants sisters who are married off before the age traditional Arab pedophile prefered age of 9. (Just like Muhamhead)

#5 an interesting sect of Islam is the Alevis

they are devotees of the 12th iman but are not really Shiite

they worship in halls not mosques and they are quite numerous in Turkey (somewhere greater than 10% of the population, possibly as much as a third)

they don't seem to have involved in any or the bombings, kidnappings, etc. of the past few decades
