#8 Just guessing, but I don't think they'll go nuclear this go-round. But unless the Chechens get ahold of a nuke, I suspect this region will be where the next nuke gets used in anger.

The depth of their hatred has roots, At least in part to the horrible slaughter after the British announced partition at the end of the Raj. These people hate each other on many levels.
