#1 Pity the Frontier Constabulary. Underpaid and under equipped (the money goes into Pak ICs.) Under trained as well. FC recruits also don't come from the best sources - those are reserved for the military.

One should consider them the misbegotten stepson of the Pakistani government. Fortunately and unlike Pakistani stepsons, they only get metaphorically buggered.

#2 From the quirky word jerk department... every single time my eyes see "Torkham" -- for decades now -- it gets misdirected through "obscure suburbs of London" on the way to where it belongs.
