#4 The President has often spoken about his nontraditional upbringing. He was born in Hawaii to a father from Kenya and a Caucasian mother from Kansas. After his father abandoned his family when Obama was around age two, his childhood was spent with his grandparents in Hawaii while his mother studied in Indonesia and married again.

So many lies by omission in those few sentences! His mother took baby Barry up to Seattle shortly after he was born, returning only when his father set off for Harvard. It was after several years at far away Harvard that his father formally abandoned them for other countries and other wives, one of them predating his mother's marriage; his mother married an Indonesian she met at school in Hawaii, and she took little Barry with her when they followed her new husband home -- it was based on his childhood years in Indonesia that he claimed a more sophisticated understanding of Islam and the world than could possibly be attained by the rubes in flyover country; for reasons never explained, though possibly because Barry was bonding too strongly for her taste to his stepfather, Barry was sent back to his "Caucasian" grandparents to rear while Mumsy stayed on in Indonesia with the offspring she kept when she divorced their dad, because that's where the career she loved was; and of course, one of the marks of his maternal grandparents' love was that they sent him to spend his Saturdays with that Black, Communist pedophile writer, so that he would get to know his father's heritage.

Feeling special was the only defense that poor child had against the harsh lessons on love he received, thanks to his eccentric mother.
