#5 ISIS has been executing its own troops for desertion, cowardice and other impropriaties since at least Sept 2014.

Probably well over 2000 have been executed so far. In addition over 8000 ISIS troops have been killed in Syria and over 2000 in Iraq.

Truly remarkable given that they probably field no more than about 30k in Iraq and Syria combined at any one time.

Their recruitment of fighters from the region and from outside the region orders of magnitude higher than Al Q.

that's true

typical executions are a few or a dozen or so at a time

however, after losing an engagement on the Kurdish front in the Yazidi area, ISIS executed about 70 charged with planning to depart the Caliphate army
