#2 I doubt Comey will act on Clinton. It would be a career ender. Maybe some of his family could disappear.

It's my understanding that:

He doesn't really have "tenure" like a SC judge. The appointment has to be revisited every 10 years at least, and the president can pull him before then. The problem is that Congress has to approve a replacement . . . .
