#4 Excessive gas is not taxed here. It's odorless, harmless, and oftentimes instructive.

Link posted here. Scroll down to the portion "effective October 30, 2015".

I'll make the wild assumption that you have the knowledge and energy to "scroll down." Terribly sorry, but I somehow left my feeding-spoon on a billiard table in a brothel in Malaysia. Shame - it was a lovely thing, carved by a blind Inuit woman from a narwhal tusk and all...

Try not to move your lips whilst you read, dearie.

Not only that, but for any given gas plume, we seem to have fartologists (OK, domain experts) who either know about it or have been there/done that/were up to their ears in it.

Plus, we get to engage in wild speculation that would get us jugged in most of the countries we're speculating about.

I find it fascinating that you can pick up faint signals of the Great Unraveling in something like a PayPal TOS agreement.

#8 Really?! So imposing taxes causes providers to modify / discontinue services? Who'd a thunk it?!?!?! / sarc

#9 I wouldn't say the "Great Unraveling." But it does seem to be a law painfully reminiscent of other failing governmental entities.

#10 Isn't October also when that new chip credit card law take effect?
