#1 When armies win, they like to keep their uniforms 'as is' as a badge of honor. When armies lose, they usually change uniforms to avoid association with defeat.

#5 To be fair, the current Army camo pattern isn't very good.

Maybe they'll ditch the beret as well in the next round of uniform changes.
