#4 The stories I've heard mention the payout of $2000. Since you can get an "assault rifle" for less than that, people will soon be going to gun shows, buying out their stock, and making a handsome profit.

Also might be a convenient way to record who turned in a weapon, on the odds that the taxpayer may possess more.

#10 they way they define them, my 50-year-old Remington Nylon 66 .22 cal would have been an assault weapon - considering my grandma bought it with Green Stamps, that would be quite a profit.....
