#2 ...Egypt has had a problem with Libya for many, many years, including at least one deterred attempt on Khaddafy Duck's part to invade, back in the 80s. As far as the Egyptian leadership goes (and I think this would have been the same with the MBs), they have a lot to answer for.

Makes sense in the ME sort of way. You need to be a strong horse to hold the pro forma El Presidente elections. That would certainly be the leader that would be running a country.
