#3 Weinstein, 73, of Rockville, Md., was kidnapped in August 2011 outside Pakistain while he was working for J.E. Austin Associates, a private company that advises Pak businesses.

Is this bad translation or was he really "outside Pakistan"? If the latter, where was he kidnapped from? While Pakistan itself is not safe, if he was in the ~~Mordor~~ hinterlands area, why?
