#1 Army of grass-roots #2A Davids in Colorado defeated deep-pocketed Bloomberg/Biden/Brady gun-grabbing Goliaths. YES! #CORecall

#2 Oh, one other thing: this means the 2 GOP challengers will take the recalled Senators seats immediately. I think this flips the Colorado senate from Dem to GOP control. No more lefty rubber stamp. I just hope the GOP uses the same strong arm tactics if necessary to undo the leftist agenda legislation passed in the same manner by the Dems, forcing a Hickenlooper veto, marking him as a clear lefty for the next election cycle.

#3 'bout friggin time. Hit em where they hurt - their phoney baloney jobs. Who ya gonna hire as an influential lobbyist? Someone that was historically defenestrated by the voters?

#4 Big losers here are all the "we're gonna kill the NRA" types like Bloomberg. Bloomie can keep flipping his wallet open, but lots of the other outside money groups are smarting on the backside this morning...

#5 Dems still have a 1 seat advantage in the CO Senate. More work to do in 2014.

Morse was term limited. He was not eligible to run for reelection in 2014. Still, millions in outside money came into the state to try and help him. Bloomberg and Eli Broad both dug deep. Dems saw this as a national referendum on their gun grabbing ways -- and they were right.

#6 Pueblo was interesting since it was a democratic stronghold. Big victory. The Springs was closer than I thought it would be, but it is a magnet for Californi expats.

There's a lot of old blue collar Donks who are still old blue collar Donks and not the Progressive/neo-Marxists. They buy into old American fundamentals, but are still in the involuntary twitch mode when it comes to the voting booth. Reagan picked them up when the Urban Coastie types sent the nation and economy to the toilet in the late 70s and got their cognizant attention. Unfortunately, the RNC in the Beltway Blend Party ("we're just like them") have obstructed the ability of the Trunks as a whole to give them the opportunity again to cross the line at the voting booth.

#11 "Ganja and guns rights? Hard to figure Colorado voters."

What's hard to follow? Sounds like people don't want to be told what to do.

#12 Like the Fat Lady says, it ain't over until it's over. Expect lawsuits to be filed today for all kinds of reasons, some of them possibly legitimate, but don't bet on it. Unfortunately, I live four blocks too far north to aid in this defenestration. Still, it's good to see.

I've given up on the Trunks. Time for the Tea Party to step out on its own and elect its own representatives, senators, governors, mayors, and every other elected official. I think it's time to have some pretty strict ground-rules on what it means to belong to the Tea Party, as far as elections are concerned -- a party platform that we all can agree on, but not something quite as insane as the Libertarians, or as of now, the trunks.

This has been a problem for Libertarians. Gun owners and dopers are strange, uneasy bedfellows.
