#1 The agency may also rely on "mobile stations" in which a small number of operatives move temporarily into remote locations "where they trust the tribal network," the former officer said. "Protection issues are going to be critical."

"Where they trust the local network".... good luck with that kak you dreamy losers. [statement must have come from a Mclean, VA cable traffic. Nobody in theater would have penned anything that stupid]

"Protection issues are going to be critical."
..... Drone Zapping is fun, if you have a nice warm CHU and private OGA mess hall with a Marine or US Army Brigade near by to come home to. Absent that, fok this place, lets get outta here.

You can Drone Zap half the population, but if you don't occupy and hold the terrain, you'll never win the war. Despicable Klingon rats, FOAD! Save the purchase of OBL from the Paks, you've accomplished SQUAT ! Just my rant and humble opinion.

#2 John O. Brennan, the recently installed CIA director, has also signaled a desire to restore the agency's focus on traditional espionage.

The Stansfield Turner CIA or the Valerie Plame CIA?

#3 Oh, there's locals they can trust.

Doston.

Most of the Tajiks, Uzbeks, and Turkomen.

Not many of the Pashtuns.

Not sure why the Obama regime never fully partnered with Rashid Dostun. Perhaps someone here has insights.

Bambi doesn't want the U.S. to win anything.

Because re-animating the corpse of the Cold War has its limits. The "he's a murdering bastard, but he's our murdering bastard" approach, while proven effective, seems to be rather outside those limits for the past two admins.

#8 I believe "W" supported the Northern Alliance, but you're correct. Champ would much rather throw in with the murdering cannibals of the MB Syrian rebel resistance. They've got more of a.... sub-Saharan cooking pot way about them.

#9 The GWB administration did support Dostum, but only in the initial phase of the war. After that, well, you know the history as well as I do.
