#9 I'm not in the habit of running away from enemies.

IMO the key advantage of Guam + US-Allies is that the DPRK, SSSSHHHH ... CCCCCC aka CHINA + PLA, desire to have China rival Nippon + also ROK, etc. ASEAN under their wing, NOT the US ; + also desire to keep Russia neutral AMAP ALAP in any mil conflict which does occurs - ditto as per Russia for US-Allies.

Hopefully the above will induce China to wage either a wholly Conventional war, or in the alternate a Limited NucWar using select Tacnuke strikes agz high-value targets in Nippon, ROK, Taiwan, + possibly Philippines WHERE THESE COUNTRIES WILL BE DAMAGED, BUT NOT DESTROYED.

Iff China does decide on conventional war, then IMO the real threat to Guam may be via Airborne Forces, PLAAF LR strategic bomber attack, + PLAN Submarine Ops, + COMMANDO/SPECOPS.
