The Americans, a mostly Christian nation, are not ruled by either the Jews who are their citizens or by Israel, a situation that is just fine with all involved. But the scansion isn't anywhere near good enough...I'd have to change the scrofulous for ~~scruffy~~ scrotty would do -- the same feel and the two syllables stressed on the first in the second line because of the impure...but after that it all falls to pieces, I'm afraid.
