#5 George W broke the middle class, them emptied the bank with two wars and then cut the obligations (taxes) of those who contribute the most AND reap the biggest benefits (the rich). OOH RAH all you want about good old boy George W. But if you werent in his ultra uber rich club you're nothing, and even less these days. "let them eat cake"

#7 Nice 746, but anyone comparing the federal budget of 1960 with the one of 2010 can only be blind if they don't see where federal increases in spending and the ballooning deficit is happening - Social Security and Medicare. You can play the 'soak the rich' card, but both of those programs were supposed to be financed by FICA not income tax. However, that didn't stop both parties from raiding the funds to pay for here and now.
