#2 How about an article in the list about bringing a boatload of guns ashore at Jask on the coast alongside the "goat run" from Musandam every day?

Do we do that sort of thing? No Americans need be involved, if there is money in it you can always get people with two legs and a moustache. All it has to be is steady and regular, unpleasant, publicized, and totally random. Every turban cant guard every turban's old granny out shopping after all.

There is a large drug smuggling population in Sistan, Do we make sure they get their fix? I heard that Iran has some two million addicts. That sounds like "opportunity" to me. And Iran has only a single railroad line north south. They can't guard it all. How about a bridge or a stretch of difficult and isolated track a week going bye-bye. Just to keep the turbans on their toes. Even a bicycle bag full of C-4 outside the police station here and there would do the trick. Its a big country full of 70 million people. Surely there are some motivated, unhappy, and dispensible people who can be "developed" for these projects.

...or are all the CIA just mowing their lawns in Fairfax these days?

How about keeping our YAPS shut and staying the phuech out of their sorry assed business before we get snagged into another long-term, meaningless, military misadventure? Have we learned ABSOLUTELY NOTHING in the last 40 years?
