#1 IMO the DPRK-ROK talks won't succeed unless China sees good or strong signs that the US will reduce or eliminate its mil presence in the Near-Term as per South Korea + Japan. IFF THE US DOES NOT, THEN EXPECT THE NORTH TO INITIATE NEW + WORSE PDENIABLE MIL INCIDENTS THAN "CHEONAN" + "YEONGPYEONG", IFF NOT OUTRIGHT MIL STRIKES AGZ US-ROK TARGETS.

Again, THE DPRK = NORTH KOREA WANTS TO STOP STARVING, WHIEL RISING CHINA WANTS SOLE BASE RIGHTS VEE THE "FIRST ISLAND CHAIN". In the absence of clear US Milfors withdrawal from East Asia region, IMO CHIna is unlikely to accept more than TOKEN = LIMITED NORTH-SOUTH ECON COOPERATION/INTEGRATION - THE TWO KOREAS CAN FORGET ABOUT RE-UNIFICATION. THE DPRK WILL GO ON STARVING.

IFF NORTH KOREA + CHIINA both don't get what they want, WATCH OUT!

I thought we reduced U.S. troops in South Korea by 11,000 and pulled the remainder south of Seoul to that island?
