#1 As another "cost-cutting measure", the Gendarmerie Mobile will now be patrolling the cities of England, to confiscate illegal tea, prevent excessive bathing, and to enforce the consumption of greasy croissants lathered in garlicky snail pulp.

#2 1) Actually French have been bathing as much or more than the British as soon as they have had showers in their houses (in 1944 most French buildings had been built in the XIXth century with near zero construction in the early 40 years of the twentieth century.

2) French croissants are a looooooot less greasy than what passes as food in England.

3) It will not be the Gendarmerie Mobile but the CRS and they will be far too busy controlling the dental hygiene of the British.

Personally French and British foreign policy seems to have never overlapped in history, so this is like the Euro, once size fits none, all over again.
