What has changed?
They've never been interested in the bottom line.

1 - Do they finally sense blood in the water?
2 - They've finally reached the point to toss their prodigy under the bus?
3 - They don't want to go down with him?
4 - In a last desperate grasp of trying to be important and relevant, they'll actually report news?
