#5 Trade War by other means. Since stopping the import of food made cheaper by others [read Americans et al] that undermines the local farmers [with many countries' economies still disproportionately agrarian] is a no-no for official WTO purposes, they simply resort to Luddite excuses to achieve the same end. Just think of MMGW as just an excuse to tax the serfs even more by pols and not the flaky quasi-science behind it. As the man said, just follow the money.
