#1 New York's Governors have always been required to be somewhat eccentric, or so I was taught. Edward Hyde, Lord Cornbury, was governor from 17011708, and was claimed to be a transvestite. You mighat also want to Google Nelson Rockefeller and Megan Marshack. NY's Spitzer and Paterson are just holding up this hallowed tradition.
