#1 The best punishment I ever heard of inflicted on a rural burglar by a crusty old man, was at gunpoint to show the burglar a shovel and tell him to dig a deep hole in his yard. After he got down a foot, the old guy told him to keep making it wider.

Suddenly the light dawned and the burglar about shat himself. When the police arrived, he was crying and whining and begging and pleading, and was the happiest burglar ever to be arrested.

#2 I heard of that one too, he was the guy that took off across the desert without his golf-clubs. Served him right.
