#1 With close air support involved, there's a strong likelihood of insurgent casualties as well.

#2 I understand the Air Force has gone from 500lb bombs to 2000lb bombs. They may not have mentioned taliwhacker casualties because they couldn't get the division to come out even two times in a row (total number of fingers/toes divided by 10 = 2.375, total number of ears divided by 2 = 1.83716, etc.). Rather than say the wrong thing, I guess they decided to not say anything at all. Now if we could only get Congress to learn that lesson...
