#1 They are so much like so many Thughees. Though I'm surprised that no one has yet said that these villains are not worshippers of Allah, but Satan. Let it be known that the killers of the innocent are not just mis-directed, but are obeying their evil overlord, whose worship they even carry into the mosques with them, defiling the floor even as they pretend to pray to Allah.

I have continuing arguments with colleagues who are liberal, infected with BDS and continually angry/snide/snippy about Iraq. I ask them, "if you think the jihadis are just modern-day Minutemen, why is it they're killing their own citizens and not Americans?"

They never seem to have an answer.

I would be more sanguine if it weren't for the fact that the number of suicide bombings has risen greatly from March (I believe that suicide bombings are responsible for at least 80% of all the terrorist victims in Iraq). The US fatality rate was also up in April from March and will problably be up again in May.

#6 I am not confident that the terrorists do not have a strategic plan behind all these suicide bombings. In fact, it may even be starting to work. The plan is to make the general populace think the government, the Iraqi forces, and even the Americans are unable to protect them. After yesterday's market bombing the people were throwing rocks and insults at - not the terrorists - but the police and the American soldiers. Not a good sign.
