#1 This may be one of the clearest indicators why President Bush, against all expectations, is ahead in Oregon. Mark Hatfield has always accurately reflected the somewhat quirky, murky political mind of Oregon. If he is on the Bush side of the 9/11 watershed, many of his fellow Oregon residents will be there as well.
