#1 I think that the public's attitude change is due to others factors too: Americans do not particularly like to be slapped in their face by the Axis of Irrelevance, and I would't MISUNDERESTIMATE the key role of the pin-heads of Hollywood. Nobody wants to say or think the same things that richard gere or other Spit-On-Your-Country-When-You-Are-Abroad types do...

#2 I think that we 'Mericans rather be pissed off than pissed on. The world is changing, it will be very painful, but backstabber govt's like Germany and France will get back what they dished out in spades.

#3 One more terrorist attack, whether on U.S. soil or not, against Americans will push that support even HIGHER. The little soap opera unfolding with the UN and NATO can't be helping either.

The message to France, Germany, and Iraq: Keep on playing your stupid games. The clock is ticking.

#4 We're going. GWB will let the French the Germans and the UN play their little self important games until everything's in place. Then, no matter what, we go. I'd be far more concerned if we caved into to the Euro-UN bullshit and DIDN'T go.

#5 Whether they agree with him or not, American all respect Colin Powell. Except Harry. So when the French diplomatically stabbed Colin in the back, the rules changed. The road to war just got a little more personal. Just for the record (pun!) Belafonte sounds like a French name to me.
