#7 Adderall now comes in time release form (Adderall XR). Joe has probably been using it and, in fact, I wonder if Joe has been overusing it. The side effects with overuse include irritability and psychotic thoughts.

I don’t know if there has been an improvement, but back in 2006 or so when trailing daughter #1 was misdiagnosed as ADD/ADHD — a sadly common occurrence for girls with high functioning autism — the Adderall slow release capsule released its contents in uneven hiccups rather than smoothly throughout the day, with the obvious impact. This was a known problem with that particular slow release capsule, not unique to Adderall. It was the reason Mr, Wife chose a different capsule supplier for one of his projects at the time.
