#2 Yesterday final daughter told me with a straight face that Evil Trump is even more senile than Less-Evil Biden, who at least doesn’t support Nazis. There is nothing to be said at that point except to remark that I once thought very differently than I do now, so she is equally entitled — and likely — to evolve. She likes me and loves being part of our household, and takes comfort in it being a place where disagreement is safe, so I look forward to watching her suddenly realize, years from now.

#5 Someone told me Trump was literally Hitler and I told them they are literally an idiot. Then broke down all the things Hitler did and showed Trump was doing none of them.

"He still is a dictator" was the reply.

#6 /\ Once someone reaches the ripe old age of 7, no use in talking to them about issues like politics or other issues of controversy. If you even suspect them of being a democrat, refuse to make eye contact and move on.

(It took me nearly 60 years to learn this. Yes, I have generally learned via often repeated mistakes)
