Used to be Long's Peak was considered a tough hike. Chasm Lake itself is a slog is just to the base of The Diamond which an in-shape young male must leave before sunrise to make it back down by sunset - ask me how I know - ; and remember a few years back the special forces team which had to be medically extracted, to be fair that was a peak attempt, which is fair, it is a legitimate mountaineering attempt with all the variable risks as such.

OK, I understand that one could get a permit to hike up and set up a basecamp, and that photo is definitely above alpine...but did it move? Did it just stay there in a modified (Gymnastic) Iron Cross?

Now, it might be a pic from a different situation, but the lead picture has these two wearing...sandles.

What a sully of a hike patch.
