#1 I have friends from where I used to live up north asking me if I'm "getting ready for the hurricane." I tell them of course I'm wary, but if I wet my pants every time the weathertainment idiot on teevee told me to, I'd have drown or died of dehydration by now...

#2 Florida Man(tm) may not like the after effects of these hurricanes but they're good training for what life is going to be like for everyone when the civil war hits. Florida Man(tm) will be far better prepared and experienced in dealing with extended shortages and outages then big blue urban anti-America.

#6 You'll be drunk in no time. Dilute 4:1, about 2% alcohol and let sit for 10 mins before drinking.

Don't try this when hiking. It's not strong enough to kill giardia.

Ain't that the truth. We are coming into Fall storm season; though not as vigorous as the Spring season, still need to keep an eye out.

System came through the other week. TV chucklehead made it sound like we should expect to lose 1000 feet of elevation pounded down by volleyball size hail or scooped up by a kaiju class tornado. There was some local heavy stuff, but we didn't wash out into the Ozarks.
