Unfortunately this is a perfectly rational assessment.

Western leaders have been actively eroding Western deterrence since 9/11/2001.

What's next, a sternly worded letter from the UN and a couple tweets from USA.

Apparently nobody going to do anything about this, not even China. We will get more launches as a result.
