Presumably not during the course of armed conflict. Maybe Israel will send shipments to China during a Sino-US clash on the basis of the same rationale.

#3 Could be all three (hypocrisy, wanking, or what) but probably journalistic "wanking." (O.K., O.K., I just happen to like to say that word--it's one of those British words that says mothing and yet everything) There's a lot of journalistic wanking (another opportunity). going on right now.

#8 We give money to Iran and they repay us by funding Hezbollah and Hamas, both terrorists groups. We buy oil from the Saudis and they repay us by sending terrorists to take down the Twin Towers and crash planes into other buildings. I'm not saying it's right but lets say there are times we are myopic.
