#1 Real money left Greek banks long ago. The ATM closure generally only affects pensioners and tourists. The downside of gov't banking controls and direct deposit. A teaching point if you will. More Ouzo please.

#2 At first glance it astounded me that, at this point, anyone would still have their money in a Greek bank account.
Then it occurred to me that the only way you can receive a U.S. Social Security payment is to have it "direct deposited" into a Government approved (federal chartered) bank account.
It's the truth that our boat is no better than the Greeks. They're just a little farther down the river.
