#3 It's really unfair to Edith. Presidents back then didn't have the power or the pomp and ceremony of today. Edith was pretty much protecting her husband and both parties, back when Congress had far more power, weren't in a hurry for the VP (about as bright as Harris) to take power.

Jill has more in common with Elena Ceaușescu with the lust for power and position in the government.
