#5 Sometimes Jackson acts sane and Barrett goes statist. It is a weird mix where even Roberts does something decent 30% of the time. Mostly the direction of the rulings is towards the good.

#6 The problem is, they're used to deciding things based on how they feel about it. That doesn't work in their current job.
Someone needs to explain to them, the only reason that they have any authority at all is because the Constitution gives it to them.

#7 ed, I'm not a constitutional scholar or anything, but I believe it was Marbury v Madison where the court gave itself the power of judicial review.

#8 I think they lack the kind of motivation required to be absolutely crazy.

That said, they plainly aren't bright enough to do minimal research (cough, cough CLERKS) if for no other reason to not appear the public fool.

I don't hear them denouncing their own immunity - past and future.

I'm pretty sure each of them had something bad happen as a result of one of their rulings in the past.
