I imagine that about the only two things forbidden in Alabama would be to tout Confederate ancestry, as it would be deemed an unfair advantage. And I won't say what the other one is, though folks can guess.

#8 On that particular model, if the hammer is not cocked (And it isn't), nothing on God's green earth you do to that trigger can make that rifle fire.

Still, be a bit safer for him to have it the way he did at the end (no finger in the trigger guard, all of them in the lever).
