And this is what I still can't figure out. For all his twisted, perverted sociopathy, he was a smart dude...but he didn't seem to have a bolthole somewhere (Costa Rica would have welcomed him as long as he kept his head down, Dubai probably wouldn't have objected too loudly, there's a couple of Pacific islands he could have lived in quite comfortably, and none of those places have extradition treaties) and he didn't appear to have a dead man's switch.

Instead, he stayed where he could be reached by the Authorities, and ended up dangling from a light fixture in a cell.

Assuming, of course, he is dead. But that's another can of worms entirely.

#8 Epstein chose to serve evil. He was convinced of his own value to their endeavors. He must have continued to believe that he had enough value to be rescued. It is also possible that he repented. It is conceivable that Epstein is still alive exploiting kids somewhere out of the public view. Most likely, though, Jefferey is dead, on a meat hook in torment. He possibly exchanged his eternal inheritance for some temporary jollies. Either he went out or will go out as the prodigal son or Faust.
