#4 So a giant metropolis built on a fancy pile of river mud is sinking, and at the same time purpose built deeper ocean leads right up to it with no effective wave breaks, that's all being held off by a six foot wall?

If the concern is real, then next time NYC elects a tyrant you will get the Venice or Netherland treatment rather than criminalizing soda pop.

#12 Most of Manhattan is underlain not by built-up mud flats, but by ancient metamorphic rock. A 10' tidal surge would get your shoes wet a block in from the rivers. Bellevue & the UN would have water swirling in the lobbies - which would run back out and make the fish miserable.
