#1 The GOP had all branches of government for part of Dubya's Presidency and part of Trump's.

Did they ever do anything about taxpayer funded NPRopaganda in those times?

#2 Contributions to NPR should be considered political contributions and not charity.

Didn’t the government significantly reduce the funding for NPR and PBS in those days, charger? I seem to recall a great deal of screaming about killing Big Bird, and so forth.

#5 TW, a cursory search of the Dubya years turns up this from an Oregon Public Broadcasting statement on proposed Trump cuts for PBS.

President Trump is not the first to propose cuts to CPB. For example, during the George W. Bush administration, CPB funding cuts were proposed every year. Still, Congress ultimately decided to continue funding public broadcasting at a consistent level.

And the above included at least two discrete periods when the GOP controlled both houses (before the Jeffords party switch and after the 2002 elections if memory serves)

I think the Big Bird meme became a thing when Romney was running for President, and proposing cuts. (and does anyone now think that he would have followed through?)

#7 The eventual deletion of communist appendages to our economy will only come in the wake of the deletion of the soft communists in our government.

#8 ...announced Tuesday night that they "will not be airing the briefings live due to a pattern of false or misleading information that cannot be fact checked in real time."

As usual, no examples of either from the NPR folks, even after the fact? You know, like a fact check or something?

It's kinda like this, guys - your website has been chronicling this event in the Seattle area during the past week, and this is your efforts at coverage the previous week. President Trump was referenced a total of eleven times and I didn't see any of these concerns mentioned there. Maybe they're somewhere else?

#12 Many years ago I was listening to the local NPR Radio and came to the conclusion that ...They ALL wanted to be so-phis-de-cated like the BBC. Not do their job, no, the Smug Superiority™ oozed from the speakers.

#14 Extortion funding of arts is an moral abomination that produces pap.

If there's demand for art, artists can sell tickets.

#16 When I read this I think, NPR audience is primarily super-liberal, and the program directors are afraid that listening to Trump is exposing their own lies and causing listeners to drop.

That and the typical virtue signaling anti-trump nonsense.
