George Soros and his empire of woke DAs: How billionaire has spent $40m helping to elect liberal officials in thrall to loose bail laws and sentencing |
2023-01-24 |
[Daily Mail, where America gets its news]
Over the years Soros has thrown millions behind liberal DAs - either with outright donations or funneled through political action committees - effectively buying elections and leading to the installment of at least 75 prosecutors who support his leftist agenda. Soros has spent at least $40million on the project, wrote Matt Palumbo, author of The Man Behind the Curtain: Inside the Secret Network of George Soros, in the New York Post - a minuscule sum for a man worth at least $32billion. The billionaire's DAs have stripped away bail laws and opted to forgo prosecuting crimes like theft and reckless driving, effectively giving criminals a free pass and leading to the breakdown of law and order across the United States. As a direct result, crime has skyrocketed in major cities overseen by Soros's DAs. In 2021 under Kim Foxx's reign, Chicago had the most murders it's seen since 1994. And in Philadelphia, drug use and violent crime has seen a surge since Larry Krasner took office. Soros, a Hungarian-born businessman, has long backed liberal politics. In the 2000s he was an outspoken opponent of President George W. Bush and donated millions to hinder his reelection, and later donated heavily to the presidential campaigns of Barack Obama and Hilary Clinton. THE MOST NOTORIOUS DAs:
Anger as woke Manhattan DA lets three teen suspects walk free without charges after battering Fox News weatherman on Subway - leaving him with bruised rib and two black eyes [Daily Mail, where America gets its news]
Klotz was left with a black eye and bruised ribs because he intercepted a group of teenagers on the subway at around 1.15am on Sunday after they were reportedly trying to set an older man's hair on fire. A Twitter user added: 'Fox News weatherman Adam Klotz was badly beaten & stomped by 7 or 8 juveniles on an NYC subway train. '3 of the suspects were arrested but were released with NO CHARGES because they were juveniles. NY is not safe & nothing is being done about it.' It comes after Bragg came under fire just last week for offering a plea deal to a man accused of an anti-Semitic attack who said he 'would do it again'. Bragg was elected as Manhattan's DA in November 2021 and led with the soft-on-crime approach of using prison as a last resort. He campaigned on the promise of criminal justice reform and issued a controversial 'Day One' memo after assuming office that said he would only seek prison time in the most severe cases. That same month Bragg took office, career criminal William Rolon, who faced only misdemeanor charges for threatening a store worker with a knife, was told by a judge that he should 'feel lucky' because of Bragg's new policies. The DA's sweeping changes called on prosecutors to ditch felony armed robbery charges and instead charge suspects with petty larceny - a misdemeanor which carries a maximum of one year in prison - even when a weapon is involved if the firearm did not 'create a genuine risk of physical harm. #2 Prosecutors are the only lawyers (besides judges) who are not on a billable hour basis. How could they not love any scheme to reduce their workload? |

#1 The price to counteract Soros DA campaign is equivalent to a yearly contract for an All-Star shortstop or pitcher. Based on the condition of our law schools, I don’t know that the right number of competent candidates could be found to challenge George’s slate of city destructors. I am also not sure that Dem machine’s won’t still get the George candidates across the finish line in many cities. |
