In Faryab province, local eyewitnesses claimed that nearly 30 Taliban fighters were killed in an inter-Taliban ethnic clash between Pashtun units and followers of the Uzbek Taliban commander Makhdoom Alam in the Dawlat Abad district. There has been no corroborating information received yet.In Takhar province the NRF claims to have killed Qari Numan and three of his associates in an undisclosed location in Takhar province, Numan was a commander of a special intelligence force, No further information was available.
In Badakhshan province, the NRF claims to have killed seven Taliban fighters in a clash. We were not apprised of the location of the skirmish and have no independent confirmation of the incident.
