  • The Taliban reinforcements recently deployed to Samangan are reportedly occupying positions around Hazara neighborhoods.

  • A bomb blast on a minibus killed at least four people and injured several others in Kabul on Saturday. No group has claimed responsibility for the attack at this time.

  • The Panjshir Emergency Hospital is at maximum capacity and unable to treat any more patients. The Taliban continue to try and minimize the growing problem they have with the Resistance forces in the North, in part by pressuring hospital administrators to not release lists of the wounded Taliban they treated.

  • Retired military veterans and civil government retirees protested near the Ministry of Finance to demand their pensions be paid. A ministry representative said that a plan was in the works to pay the pensions. No violence was reported.

  • Ariana Airlines announced it was in the final negotiations to buy an additional plane and plans to purchase three more in the coming months.

  • Canada celebrated the milestone of 15,000 Afghan refugee arrivals since NATO’s withdrawal last August. Canada has evacuated 6,985 people directly from Afghanistan under the Special Immigration Measures

  • In Baghlan the Afghan Liberation Front claims to have launched attacks in Baghlan’s Khost and Farang districts, killing 7 Talib fighters and wounding 4.
  • In Takhar green on green fighting erupted in Taloqan between Tajik Mawlawi Abdul Qadir and Pashtun members of the Talib intelligence directorate, leaving 4 Talibs dead.
  • Three civilians were killed by Taliban inspecting a home in Mazar-Sharif.
