[FOXNEWS] President Trump issued a spree of clemency decisions Tuesday for high-profile figures -- most notably commuting the sentence of former Democratic Illinois Gov. | #8 This was not so much about Blago being one of 7 successive Illinois governors being corrupt and thus sentenced to prison, but more to do about Obama popping off the other day trying to grab credit for Trump's economic success, who had allowed Blago to rot in prison as President. |

| #4 ..well, please tell that to all those who want to repeal the direct election of Senators. I'm looking at you Bill Whittle. Senators are suppose to represent the states. As such they should be selected by an electoral college with each sub-district, county or parish, getting one electoral vote each. Population concentrations are represented in the House not the Senate. |

| #3 So Blag used his public office to try to sell 50% of the representation of people in his state to the highest bidder. 14 years - how about life? Harsh? but "Caesar's wife must be above suspicion". If you are elected to public office you must be held to a higher, not lower, standard. |
