Libya's major airlines to stop operating flights from Mitiga Airport
2019-09-03
[Libya Observer] Major airlines of Libya, including Libyan Airlines, Afriqiyah Airways, Buraq Air and Libyan Wings announced that they will start operating flights from Misurata International Airport, instead of Mitiga Airport, starting from Sunday, until further notice.

Mitiga airport was bombed by Haftar's armed groups on Saturday minutes after the landing of a plane carrying hundreds of pilgrims.

The attack resulted in the injury of four people, including three pilgrims and created panic among the travelers, in addition to the damage caused to the airport's facilities.
