As The Gateway Pundit reported, Acosta had reportedly decided to leave CNN
...formerly the Cable News Network , now who know what it might stand for...
after it was revealed that the struggling network was moving him to the waste-land of midnight or 2 AM. Acosta allegedly threatened to quit right away following the news.
The program would have aired at a time when cable news viewership is at its lowest level. Of course, it's not like Acosta had many viewers to begin with.
On Tuesday morning, President Trump responded to Acosta's ouster in a predictably savage and hilarious fashion.
''Wow, really good news! Jim Acosta, one of the worst and most dishonest news hounds in journalistic history, a major sleazebag, has been relegated by CNN Fake News to the Midnight hour, ''Death Valley,'' because of extraordinarily BAD RATINGS (and no talent!),'' Trump wrote.
''Word is that he wants to QUIT, and that would be even better,'' Trump added. ''Jim is a major loser who will fail no matter where he ends up. Good luck Jim!''
