NYC Deputy Mayor Sheena Wright resigns
[NYPOST] First Deputy Mayor of New York City Sheena Wright officially resigned Tuesday — the latest high-profile departure in an administration that's been rattled by a sweeping federal corruption case.
News of Wright's imminent resignation broke last Friday, with one source saying ''she's leaving because she's being shown the door.''
She will be replaced by Maria Torres-Springer, the city's deputy mayor for housing.
Mohamed Bahi charged with witness tampering and destruction of evidence in Mayor Adams case
[NYPOST] A former top official in the Adams administration official was charged with witness tampering and destruction of evidence by the feds on Tuesday — one day after he left City Hall.
Mohammed Bahi told witnesses in the historic corruption case against Mayor Eric Adams to lie to federal agents, a complaint unsealed Tuesday contends.
Bahi also deleted a messaging app off his phone before the feds served a search warrant at his home in July, the court papers state.
The complaint comes a day after city officials said Bahi, who served as the mayor's liaison to the Moslem community, had resigned.
Bahi didn't answer several calls from The Post.
