Judge won't dismiss Trump election case over 'selective prosecution'

[JustTheNews] The judge overseeing former President Donald Trump's federal election subversion case denied a motion to dismiss the case, which Trump's motion described as vindictive "selective prosecution." The denial, issued on Saturday, came in a 16-page order.

wrote that dismissal was inappropriate because Trump failed to provide "evidence demonstrating a likelihood of vindictiveness," The Hill reported.
Trump "claimed that the charges against him were the result of [President Joe Biden]'s pledge to ensure Trump would not be president again."
Chutkan found "no indication" Biden pressured AG Merrick Garland to engage in "politically motivated action" by prosecuting Trump.
