[WashingtonPost] PARIS — The 2024 Summer Olympics continued Tuesday with another packed slate of competition. In the day’s buzziest event, Simone Biles and the U.S. women’s gymnastics team won gold. Elsewhere, the U.S. women’s rugby sevens team beat Australia at the buzzer to win bronze for its first-ever medal, the U.S. men’s soccer team advanced to the quarterfinals for the first time in 24 years, and Australian swimmer Kaylee McKeown edged American rival Regan Smith for 100-meter backstroke gold.
